Peroxide XLPE Cable Compounds
The peroxide crosslinked cable compounds (PEX-A) are mainly used in the wire and cable industry as an insulating material for medium and high-voltage power cables. The compounds must strictly meet the quality requirements, such as cleanliness, dielectric strength, and lifetime. In the first step, polymer and additives are mixed at a narrow temperature range to reach a homogeneous status and then filtered and pelletized. In the second step, liquid peroxide is precised metered, and combined with the pellets. The entire process must be precisely controlled to obtain high-purity products.
